In the same way, WordCamps are like the diamond junction for all. Where developer meets designer, Blogger meet the publisher, trainer meet students, consultant meet agency, Support meets tester, Students meets the recruiters, and all this happens under one roof in a very casual environment.

Here are a few reasons why one should attend WordCamp:

Knowledge
Sikhna band to Jeetna band”. Motivation to attend WordCamp may differ for everyone, but one thing will be familiar to all. There is a lot of learning in every time you spent on the WordCamp. People from the diverse background come down to share their experiences amicably.

Community
For Tier 2 & Tier 3 Cities like Raebareli(My Hometown) & Nagpur, sense of having a population who understand how web operates is Essential. Meeting Local Community is like the blessings of a family that understands your tech learning and carvings.

A saying of an anonymous shows the true spirit of WordCamp Community.

When I came here, I was looking for a community. Then I realise I am helping in creating one.

Your presence, your knowledge, your expertise is what matters to us and so does for others too. Wordcamps are a great place to meet with like-minded people and network over casual chit chats.

Jobs

A job is not just a job. It is you

WordCamp is a platform to discover who you are where do you fit in the Ecosystem. Various Companies do Post out there opening at WordCamp’s Job Board. You need to reach out to people who are looking to hire Developer, Designers, Content writers, Marketer and even Project Coordinators.

Workshop

It is felt good to be lost in the right direction.

Are you always eager to push your skills upward? Then WordCamp workshops are an excellent place to go. No worry if you are beginners. Volunteers will still be there to make sure you are on the same boat as the trainer is.

Talks
To become interesting, you must be interested. Have you ever regretted to attend a conference talk and wished to escape it. I bet you can’t if it is WordCamp. Discussions in WordCamp is not confined to experts who get lost in PPT and infographics leaving there audience yawning.

To know more about the talks you can check out the Schedule of WordCamp.

Contribution
WordCamp is not just conference with Talks, Workshops and Stalls of WordPress Users and companies. Its an Annual Gathering of Local community. Where you contribute back to the Software that is made and managed by people like us.

You are happiest when you are making a contribution.

The contribution should be the everyone’s to do the task. Level doesn’t matter, intention matters. From spreading the news to giving voluntary support. The core team, polyglot, Design, Happiness bar, there are lot-lot more ways to contribute to Open source platform.

Swags
Swag is the small token of gratitude from the WordPress Community to you in favour of giving your time for Community Gathering. What’s in the Swag kit of WordCamp is always a Surprise, it may be a range of freebies- Stickers, pen, notepad, discount coupons, trial packs, t-shirts, pen-drives or maybe Wingardium Leviosa 🙂

Low Ticket
As the WordCamp is a community-driven event, the ticket price is just a fraction of actual cost. Thanks to sponsors and WordPress Foundation which takes care of the rest.

Low ticket price does not mean inequality or low quality, People organising WordCamps always believe equality, low cost is just for making the event accessible to all.

Promotion
Surprised to see the promotion in this list. Well, WordCamp is never about the advertising, but it is a by-product. While Networking with People in WordCamp, you Put yourself in Promotional Shoes; it is perfectly fine to self-promote as you follow Code of Conduct of WordCamp, simple words

Be Good to People to Promote yourself

As these are some of the reasons I found motivating people to attend WordCamps, there might be many more. Now you have enough motivation, at least one for each finger, to make yourself available for WordCamp near you.

WordCamp Nagpur & Kanpur is next on Indian WordCamp’s Calender.
